Baker McKenzie

Baker McKenzie’s TMT practice, led by Henry Chang and Louis Hsieh, has an established reputation as a leader in Taiwan in this area, with its practitioners offering considerable combined experience to suppliers and end-users, including in relation to regulatory frameworks, licensing agreements, advertising content, and online commercial disputes. Hsieh regularly advises domestic and international TMT entities, including cable and satellite television stations, on M&A transactions as well as regulatory matters. Alongside Kevin Wang and Fang-Yi Jen, he has recently led a team advising a telecoms company on new legislation concerning the use of news organisations’ content by digital platforms, with the team benefitting from the firm’s global network, in this case making use of insights gained by offices in Australia, France and Canada.
