Allende & Brea handles complex litigation and commercial arbitration matters and is well known for its track record in class action suits, with insurance and financial services disputes a particular area of specialism. The team is also called on to advise on environmental claims, shareholder and commercial conflicts and antitrust and IP-related litigation. Practice co-heads David Gurfinkel and Cristian Fox both have backgrounds in the judiciary; Gurfinkel is noted for his expertise in commercial litigation and arbitration, while Fox serves as an arbitrator in commercial disputes and regularly assists commercial judges in sensitive, complex shareholder conflicts. Senior associate Daiana Mascheroni leads the practice’s second line, which has been strengthened with the hire of Lucía Yaryura Tobías, who was previously with the National Ombudsman’s Office.
