The practice has made progress in building out a standalone mining practice from what was primarily an electricity-sector focused natural resources team, but the departure of practice head and specialist mining lawyer Marcos Moreno Hueyo to launch his own firm has slowed momentum. The electricity focused pairing of Nicolás Eliaschev and Javier Constanzó (who was recently raised to the partnership), have stepped up to lead the practice. Mining focused associate Dolores Reyes has also departed, joining Moreno Hueyo in his new venture.
