CMS maintains a leading presence in the energy market and continues to advise on a diverse portfolio of projects, assisting on all aspects of the construction and purchase of facilities, regulatory and environmental advice and any operative issues. While the team’s focus lies in the renewables sector, they are also well versed in oil and gas, nuclear and mining projects and regularly advise leading Bulgarian and international clients in these areas. Kostadin Sirleshtov ‘has vast expertise in energy projects’, as well as in public procurement and leads the practice alongside Dimitar Zwiatkow, who focuses on the renewables sector, including on combined heat and power and waste to energy projects. Borislava Piperkova is a key member of the department, as is Lyuba Bozova-Peshovska and Konstantin Altandzhiyski, who joined the firm in September 2023 and March 2024 respectively.
