Dentons‘ Santiago office has longstanding experience in advising energy companies on their everyday regulatory matters. The five-strong group additionally assists mining businesses with their compliance with energy regulations, as well as their relationships with energy companies. The practice is co-led by Enrique Benitez, who ’stands out for his deep knowledge of new energies and hydroelectric plants’; and Pauline Chiffelle, who focuses on a range of energy matters, including electricity law regulation and litigation before Chile’s ordinary, arbitration and special courts (and the Electricity Experts Panel). Former partner Marisol Ceballos left the firm in December 2023.
