The IP and innovation practice at MICP Abogados (formerly Mackenna Irrarázabal Cucacovich & Paz), distinguishes itself from the majority of its competitors in the sector as a result of its strength in patent-related work, which covers all stages of patent development process, including commercial considerations; significantly, the practice evidences experience in patent infringement litigation, most recently obtaining preliminary injunctions for a major international client. Above and beyond the foregoing, the practice also handles trade mark filing, prosecution and portfolio management; along with anti-counterfeiting, copyright and domain name matters. Experienced practice head Rodrigo Marré has approaching 30 years’ experience in the sector and is ‘always available to coordinate strategy’. He is flanked by patent director, Virgilio Topasio; and trade mark director Ignacia Lería.
