CMS Rodríguez-Azuero’s TMT practice is oriented towards regulatory work, focusing on compliance, data protection, advertising law and litigation. The group is also geared towards TMT infrastructure projects, such as its recent advice to the Ministry of Information and Communications Technologies (MinTIC) on the $500m ‘Connectivity to Change Lives’ project, which aims to bring connectivity to remote areas of the country. Department co-head Carlos Andrés Sánchez led the MinTIC mandate and is highly regarded for his work at the intersection of TMT, projects and infrastructure. Lorenzo Villegas-Carrasquilla co-leads the team and specialises in technology and telecoms regulation, data protection and privacy, and AI — among other matters — for clients including Google and Netflix.
