DLA Piper‘s international finance team is ’highly competent and skilled with a commercial and pragmatic approach’. Its three-partner London securitisation group is able to co-ordinate expertise across the firm’s international network to handle complex multi-jurisdictional transactions, including public and private deals involving alternative finance platform lenders. A key example is Plata Finance Limited’s £250m inaugural public securitisation backed by unsecured consumer loans. Marcus Lovatt, who is ‘always pragmatic and business-oriented’, handled that deal.
