The ‘extraordinary’ team at Pérez Correa González routinely advises banks, investment funds, development agencies, domestic and international non-bank financial institutions, and companies in the tech and retail segments on a range of financial transactions. The ’technically sound’ group is also equipped to advise on financial regulatory matters. The practice is co-led by Jorge Labastida, a highly experienced practitioner, particularly for asset-backed and structured finance and securitisations; and Fernando Eraña, who brings experience in M&A and transactions involving finance and tech to the table. Eduardo Yrigoyen (cross-border financings) and Eduardo Montenegro (M&A, financial transactions, real estate) are the key associate-level contacts. The team was further strengthened with the May 2024 hire of Emilio Carrillo Peñafiel, who is highly specialised in financial and corporate transactions involving the real estate, telecoms and energy sectors.
