The practice group at Jones Day is well-versed in advising lenders and borrowers alike on asset-based lending transactions, cross-border investments, and aviation and real estate finance, along with banking regulatory matters. The team, which regularly works in conjunction with sister offices in the United States and beyond, is frequently instructed by domestic and international banks, brokerage and investment firms, and multinationals. The practice is co-led by Manuel Romano, Alberto de la Parra and Arturo de la Parra. Romano handles a range of financial markets' matters, particularly in relation to the energy transition, infrastructure and real estate sectors, as part of a broader practice that also takes in corporate M&A and competition work. Alberto de la Parra specialises in project structuring, corporate and M&A, project finance and financings. Arturo de la Parra, who was promoted to the partnership in January 2025, majors on cross-border and domestic project-related lending transactions, with a particular emphasis on the renewable energy sector.
