The practice group at White & Case S.C. is known for its experience in financial regulatory matters, in addition to its track record advising borrowers and lenders alike on a range of financing transactions. Securing financial authorisations and digital banking licences constitutes a core area of expertise, while the group's transactional practice encompasses syndicated loans, asset-backed financings and financial restructurings. Juan Antonio Martín steers the department and deals with the gamut of banking and finance mandates, along with capital markets and restructuring work. Additional names to note include regulatory and fintech specialists Narciso Campos, Andrés Mosqueira and Eduardo Flores Herrera; María Teresa Fernández Labardini, who handles requests for authorisations before the financial and regulatory authorities, M&A transactions, loan restructurings and compliance mandates; and debt finance practitioner Eugenio Bernal. Carlos Mainero (debt finance and financial regulatory matters), Rebeca García López (cross-border debt and equity financings), and Fernando Vázquez-Chelius (financings, private equity and M&A transactions) are also key members of the team. Carlos González Navarro, who focuses his practice on the financial regulatory sector, was promoted to local partner in January 2025.
