With a team operating from offices in Mexico City and Monterrey, the practice group at Galicia Abogados S.C. is well-versed in advising lenders, borrowers, issuers and underwriters on the structuring, negotiation, documentation and execution of financing transactions, as well as handling regulatory, compliance and risk management mandates on behalf of financial institutions. Banks, public companies, pension funds, brokerage firms and insurers frequently feature on the practice’s client roster. Following the September 2024 departure of ex-practice co-head Humberto Pérez Rocha, the group is co-led by Mexico City-based partners Arturo Perdomo and Guillermo Pérez Santiago. Perdomo specialises in banking and fintech regulatory matters and financial transactions, while Pérez Santiago, for his part, majors on banking, finance and capital markets. Also noted are Rodrigo Rivera (financing transactions, corporate law, real estate, restructuring); Maurice Berkman (lending and capital markets transactions, securities regulation); and Monterrey-based Rosemarie McLaren, who deals with matters involving local and cross-border bilateral and syndicated loans, real estate and corporate finance. Senior associate Lili Abascal left the firm in May 2024.
