Competition and antitrust

Firmly at the forefront of competition law in Mexico, Creel, García-Cuéllar, Aiza y Enríquez, S.C. maintains a full-service practice that handles everything from antitrust compliance and merger reviews to cartel investigations and appeals court litigation. The group is experienced in advising top-profile clients from highly regulated sectors and demonstrates particular activity in the manufacturing, financial services and real estate industries. Luis Gerardo García Santos Coy is a key authority in the competition space, actively handling pre-merger filings, investigations and amparo proceedings before competition authorities. He co-leads the team alongside Carlos Mena, who is regularly involved in cartel, abuse of dominance and market investigations. The firm’s expertise is bolstered by Mauricio Serralde, whose caseload covers the full scope of relevant matters, while Jorge Kargl has a particular focus on aiding clients in the TMT sector with all antitrust-related issues. Another name of note, Sara Gutiérrez specialises in administrative and constitutional litigation as well as being involved in the firm’s ESG practice. Counsel Edgar Martín left the firm in January 2025.
