The firm operates through two dedicated practices—administrative litigation and civil & commercial litigation—providing comprehensive coverage across all non-arbitral contentious proceedings. Led by Daniel Amézquita, the administrative litigation team regularly represents clients before Mexico’s top judicial bodies and specialised administrative tribunals, focusing on constitutional and regulatory challenges through amparo lawsuits, nullity claims, and constitutional actions, across key sectors such as energy, telecoms and environmental law. Promoted to counsel in 2025, Iván Valdespino additionally supports administrative proceedings. In parallel, the civil & commercial litigation team, co-led by Rodrigo Zamora and Cecilia Azar, oversees high-value disputes within their respective areas of expertise, notably banking and finance, as well as energy and infrastructure. Represented two clients in nullity claims challenging resolutions issued by the Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE), which imposed fines for failing to participate in the 2023 Capacity Market (Mercado para el Balance de Potencia), resulting in a Shortfall Capacity payment obligation to the National Energy Control Centre (CENACE).
Designed and implemented a defence strategy (through an amparo lawsuit) for Minera Adularia Exploración in response to the 2023 Mining Reform that introduced significant changes that have had a negative impact on mining companies in Mexico.
Filed a nullity claim to challenge the four-year validity of a power generation permit granted by the Energy Regulation Commission (CRE).
