Establishing itself in Mexico by way of its July 2024 absorption of González Calvillo, the Mexican team at the Madrid-headquartered Pérez-Llorca assists clients with a broad range of advisory, transactional and contentious environmental law mandates. The team, which garners praise for its 'professional and personalised treatment', demonstrates strength in waste management, water concessions, wastewater discharge permits, environmental audits and administrative litigation. Counsel Enrique Muñoz Guízar steers the practice and specialises in regulatory matters, with a particular focus on environmental, natural resources, healthcare and consumer protection matters. Additional key contacts include fellow counsel Carlos Fernando Castilla, who majors on administrative litigation and the resolution of environmental disputes; and senior associate Georgina Zavala, who frequently advises clients on obtaining authorisations, concessions, licenses and permits and the filing of annulment lawsuits before local authorities and federal bodies.
