Holland & Knight México, S.C.

Well known for assisting lenders and energy companies with the financing and development of infrastructure projects, Holland & Knight México, S.C. also advises banks on the structuring and negotiation of financing terms, including the design and structuring of collateral packages. The department, which is noted for its strength in the energy space, is also equipped to handle transportation, water, telecoms and highway mandates. Following the September 2025 departure of Carlos Ochoa, the practice is currently solely overseen by banking and finance practice lead Alejandro Landa (corporate, energy and project finance, capital markets, M&A and real estate). Additional names to note include Rodolfo Rueda, who splits his time between Mexico City and Houston and focuses on regulatory and government affairs; Selene Espinosa (corporate and project finance, M&A); and senior counsel Aldo Gonzalez Melo (corporate law, project development, structured finance). The practice was recently strengthened with the hire of Mónica Rodríguez Díaz as a senior policy advisor; her experience includes time at both the Comisión Reguladora de Electricidad (CRE) and as an independent energy consultant. Since publication, González Melo has been raised to the partnership - effective as of January 2026.
