Following a significant team expansion in 2023, the mining practice group at Payet, Rey, Cauvi, Pérez Abogados continues to grow its foothold in the industry. The team is well-positioned to assist clients with transactional matters and the various stages of mining projects. José Cúneo leads the practice group with 2023 hire Raúl Ferreyra, who contributes extensive knowledge spanning mining law in addition to insurance, corporate and tax matters. The team further includes Cecilia Gonzáles, a recognised industry expert whose broad experience encompasses contractual, environmental and social matters, particularly as they pertain to exploration and exploitation projects; Liliana Pautrat, who advises both domestic and international companies on regulatory and environmental matters and risk mitigation; and Patricia Gargurevich, a specialist in M&A and contractual matters. The team is rounded out by counsel Ángel Chávez, an authority on regulatory matters whose knowledge is strengthened by extensive experience in the public sector; and senior associate Alexandra Pázzara, a key contact for due diligence matters in M&A and financing transactions.
