Freshfields LLP

Freshfields’s international litigation practice is well-versed at handling complex cross-border issues, ranging from parallel court proceedings to regulatory investigations. Members of the team are knowledgeable of investigations carried out by the DOJ, SEC, FCA, and other regulators, whilst equally skilled at succeeding in litigation in jurisdictions worldwide.  Displaying the team’s cross-border prowess, the team recently represented Sumitomo Pharma in relation to a securities lawsuit in Bermuda. The team works closely with others in the firm, including the white-collar investigations, arbitration, securities, and antitrust practices. Based in New York, Adam Siegel and Gayle Klein lead the team. Tim Harkness handles transnational and cross-border disputes, particularly those involving allegations of fraud, and post M&A disputes. Also of note are Kimberly Zelnick, David Livshiz, and in Washington, Jennifer Loeb. The team continues to grow, with the arrival of Matthew Haggans from the US Attorney’s Office in May 2024, and Austin Evers from the Department of Justice in November 2024.
