Jay Cohen is located in Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP‘s New York office, from where he maintains a broad disputes practice. Recently he represented the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) in litigation with the Radio Music License Committee (RMLC) over a rates dispute concerning the license fee radio broadcasters must pay for musicians’ and composers’ protected works. Cohen was also retained by IBM in its breach of contract suit against GlobalFoundries (GF) following the spinoff of IBM’s semiconductor business to GF in 2015, which settled in January 2025.
