Primarily centered out of its Texas offices, Norton Rose Fulbright defends companies in courts throughout the country against allegations of securities fraud, as well as regularly providing corporate governance risk management advice to boards of directors and handling securities law-related internal investigations work. Many of the mandates occur within firmwide areas of sector expertise, including energy, life sciences, and financial services, with experienced Austin-based litigator Peter Stokes regularly engaged in 10-b 5 defense work in those industry sectors. In Austin, Mark Oakes is also highly skilled at handling private securities litigation as well as SEC-initiated investigations/enforcements.
