Points forts
- Assisted Eversource in the first-ever, in the United States, large offshore wind farms. The sale raised novel legal issues and is valued at more than $1.3B.
- Advised EEI, the trade association that represents public utilities, in developing and implementing its legal strategy throughout the country on the question on whether utilities or competing developers have the first right to build expansions to the transmission grid.
- Represents Southern California Edison serving in a lead role in representing a coalition of California interest in seeking to recover refunds and damages to California caused by the California Power Crisis of 2000-2001. After multiple rounds of appeals and hearings, FERC recently found in our client’s favor that Shell committed fraud in the inducement of the contract. A two-week hearing is scheduled to take place before a FERC ALJ in June 2025 to determine whether Shell owes refunds of more than $1 Billion.
