K&L Gates has a well-regarded natural gas regulatory team with significant experience in US pipeline transportation, storage, and LNG imports and exports. The firm advises on all aspects of the FERC authorization process for new LNG facilities and navigates regulatory intersections with other agencies. The team is also noted for its expertise in FERC pipeline regulation, covering transportation capacity, rates, and service terms. London-based practice head Ben Holland leads the team alongside Washington D.C.-based David Wochner, who advises on federal regulatory and policy matters affecting energy infrastructure. Advising Glenfarne Energy Transition, a developer of global energy transition assets and infrastructure, on several key regulatory and policy issues potentially impacting the LNG industry, including the very significant Magnolia and Texas LNG facilities, both in the United States and globally.
