Kenneth Irvin helms the energy practice from Washington DC. Co-head Cliff Vrielink serves as a key contact for the firm’s leading private equity, infrastructure fund, and oil and gas company clients, advising on investments and acquisitions. Timothy Chandler maintains a broad energy M&A practice spanning multiple jurisdictions, while Stephen Boone, who joined from Akin in May 2024, brings extensive experience in upstream and midstream transactions. Co-managing partner of the Sidley’s Houston office, George Vlahakos also has a strong focus on the oil and gas sector, helping clients with M&A, capital raises and partnership structures. Trent Bridges left the practice in May 2024.
