Hogan Lovells US LLP has a significant presence in out-of-court restructurings and Chapter 11 cases. It is noted for domestic and cross-border matters, including sovereign debt restructurings and Chapter 15 cases; the firm advised the Ministry for Finance of The Republic of Ghana on its potential implementation of an out-of-court restructuring of over $50bn of its sovereign debt. With particularly strong teams in New York and Los Angeles, it has consistently landed significant engagements in multiple areas, including Chapter 11 cases linked to unfinished real estate developments. Co-head of the US restructuring and special situations team, Ronald Silverman has a background in large Chapter 11 and Chapter 15 cases, and has extensive experience in the communications and energy sectors. Los Angeles-based Richard Wynne also co-heads the team and is another experienced figure with a background in West coast restructurings, along with fellow Los Angeles partner Erin Brady who is also recognised for significant Chapter 11 cases and her litigation capabilities.
