Successfully represented Masimo Corporation and Cercacor Laboratories in a patent infringement suit against Apple regarding their Apple Watches, Series 6 and up. The media called Masimo standing up to Apple a “David vs. Goliath” battle that was among “the most momentous patent disputes in years.” Knobbe Martens is the first legal team, ever, to obtain an exclusion order against Apple and maintain it through Presidential review.
Secured a victory for our client, Amazon.com, in a patent infringement case in the Eastern District of Virginia. One week after an oral argument by partner Colin Heideman, the court held all of the asserted patent claims invalid, granted Amazon’s motion to dismiss, and entered judgement in Amazon’s favor.
Scured a complete victory for Spectrum Solutions in a PTAB Dispute involving Covid-19 testing. Not only did the board side entirely with Spectrum in IPR proceedings against Longhorn Vaccines & Diagnostics; in an unprecedented move, the Board canceled all of Longhorn patent claims and sanctioned Longhorn for “egregious abuse” of PTAB process.
