Using Legal 500 Rankings, Commentary and Branding
Legal 500 welcomes firms and organisations promoting their achievements and recognises the value of independent recognition. These guidelines explain how Legal 500 rankings, commentary and branding may be used.
The guidelines form part of our wider terms of use and subscription terms and may be updated from time to time.
1. What you may do
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, you may:
Refer to your rankings
You may refer to your Legal 500 rankings, awards and other published recognition in:
• websites
• brochures
• pitches and proposals
• directories
• capability statements
• social media
• press releases
• recruitment materials
• email signatures
• presentations
provided the information is presented accurately and without misleading, exaggerated or otherwise inadequate context.
Quote published commentary
You may quote reasonable extracts from commentary relating to your own firm, practice, lawyers or published rankings.
Where reasonably practicable, quotations should:
• be reproduced accurately;
• not be taken out of context; and
• include an attribution to Legal 500.
Link to Legal 500
You are encouraged to link directly to the relevant Legal 500 website page(s) wherever possible and appropriate.
